Neck and Upper Back Pain

TAKING CARE OF YOU

The cervical (neck) and thoracic spine (upper back) are responsible for some of the most important of our activities of daily living. The most common conditions in this region of the spine include spinal joint (facet) arthritis, disc herniation with shooting pain into the arms, disc degeneration, and spinal stenosis. Any of these conditions can cause neck and shoulder pain, with numbness or tingling in the arms or fingers, and weakness. The Southern California Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Spine Institute treats most of the conditions conservatively. Thorough diagnostic and imaging modalities tailored to each patient, an evidence based approach serves as the blue print for shared decision making with each patient.
